MAGNUS Escape Hatch - OD 22-3/16" x 22-3/16"
Heavy Duty Ocean Hatch
MAGNUS is a complete range of extra heavy-duty hatches. They are CE-classified AI, which means to say that they are designed for ocean use and can be fitted in any part of the hull or deck.
These hatches are provided with friction hinges, which will keep the hatch open in any position, without the need for stays. The hatch can be opened through 180° and there are virtually no obstructions in the hatch opening. Like other VETUS hatches, the MAGNUS range can be opened from inside or outside the boat. They can also be left locked; either completely watertight or in a ventilation position.
The frame profile is hand-polished and anodized. The acrylic has a thickness of 10 mm and the color is “dark smoke”.
The build-in dimensions (the cut-out sizes) of the Magnus hatches are in conformity which those that are current in the market.

*VETUS strongly advises against using MAGNUS hatches as an A1 escape hatch in the underside of a multihull. Due to the flexible nature of these types of vessels, water tightness cannot be guaranteed unless the hatch is installed on a flat and inflexible structure.

3. Do you provide product manuals or installation guides?
Every product ships with the original manufacturer’s manual. Digital copies and detailed installation guides are typically available on the brand’s website.
Warranty & Guarantee
1. Does my purchase include a warranty?
Yes — every order includes the full manufacturer warranty. Coverage length varies by brand (typically 1–3 years for Garmin, Lowrance, Raymarine, Simrad, Humminbird, Furuno, and others).
2. How do I register for warranty coverage?
Register directly with the manufacturer using your unit’s serial number. Manufacturer registration is the fastest path to warranty support if you ever need it.
3. What does the manufacturer warranty cover?
Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Damage from impact, improper installation, or saltwater corrosion (without protection) may be excluded. Check brand-specific terms in your unit’s documentation.
4. Can I extend the warranty?
Some manufacturers offer extended-coverage programs through their registration portals. We don’t sell third-party warranty programs.

1. How fast does my order ship?
Orders placed before 4pm EST Monday–Friday ship the same business day via UPS from our NJ or FL warehouses. Continental US delivery typically takes 3–7 business days for Economy.
